Designed
for optimum performance, our range of DC Generators have carved
a niche, all their own, in several industries. They come with the same stamp of

The
general principal involved consists of an A.C.motor fed by A.C.Supply
rotates. The generator is coupled by flexible couplings, making it produce D.C.Voltage.
The generator can be self-excited or separately excited and consists of compound
winding. The prime mover is designed for running at a constant speed.

Compatible with
both single phase and three phases, they are constructed to work under varied
RPM. Every DC Generator is put through a series of stringent quality
checks, before the final installation, in our sophisticated testing facility.
The A.C.motor is present in a squirrel cage induction motor. Six terminals come
out on the terminal box. The rotor is of solid cast and placed on shafting and
fitted in the box with the help of two ball bearings. An external fan is provided
on the rear side of the shaft, along with a fan cover. The main components consist
of yoke, field lamination, armature, holders, end shields and carbon brushes.
The armature is wound and the wires are connected to a commutator, either through
lap winding or wave winding. The end shields are placed at either end of the frame
and held tight by screws. The connections are marked as F, FF, A, AA and C, CC
and represented as field, armature and compounding terminals. In case of a series
generator the connections are marked as S, SS, etc,.
